Nuevo filter delay para Live
Robert Henke creó y publicó un nuevo delay triple:
The device consists of three stereo delays, with delay times expressed in rhythmic values. The output of each delay is processed with a low-pass and high-pass filter in series, allowing the signal to be narrowed to a specific part of the spectrum.

When Liquid Glass was revealed, I had an immediate repulsion. It reeks of designers who became attached to a conceptual idea born out of a mandate, and no one had the taste, power or foresight to kill this darling way before a beta stage. It is a direction taken too far, a marketing-driven sci-fi fever dream exploration that is an accessibility nightmare and betrays usability. The juxtaposition of UI that gets out of your way but attracts more attention by being distracting and murky.

Link Audio en Live 12.4

Live 12.4 adds Link Audio, letting you and your peers stream audio between Link Audio-enabled devices on a local network in real time. Audio from other players appears directly as an input in Live, letting you monitor and record external devices and apps without additional hardware, cables, or manual latency compensation.

Apple is currently the GUI laughing stock of the industry, a position once firmly held by Microsoft for decades, and the walking-back of poor decisions in followup point-releases has become normal. Liquid Glass is the sort of folly that was once limited to portfolio pieces and fanciful blog posts, complete with clumsy attempts to replicate Apple’s style of marketing copy; pretty little animations that showed as much inexperience in UX as they did proficiency in Photoshop. Now, these missteps come from the company itself.
El diseño de macOS se empezó a arruinar desde Big Sur. Después de Catalina se perdió el contraste entre herramientas y contenido. Liquid Glass es un desastre.

Qué mala noticia. Pero ¿se veía venir? ¿Mala administración? Native llevaba años con releases de nuevos productos lentos y perdiendo el liderazgo en diseño de productos para dj ante Pioneer. En Hispasonic ya replicaron la notica y hay una interesante discusión sobre el tema. Falta ver que pasa y si alguna empresa más grande la compra.

Bandcamp es la primera plataforma en prohibir la música generada por IA:
Music and audio that is generated wholly or in substantial part by AI is not permitted on Bandcamp. Any use of AI tools to impersonate other artists or styles is strictly prohibited in accordance with our existing policies prohibiting impersonation and intellectual property infringement.
¿Cómo lo van a aplicar? Lo veo difícil. Pero por lo menos lo van a intentar. Faltan los servicios de streaming masivos como Spotify y Apple Music. ¿Será que también la van a prohibir o van preferir seguir inflando números de reproducciones?
